If you are new to providing contract services to the federal government, outside the United States, here are some things you need to know:

DBA Coverage is required for:
Any person who works as a contract employee for the U.S. outside the country, regardless of country of origin, nationality or job title.  If the insured worker qualifies as a DBA contractor, then they are entitled to full DBA insurance benefits.  This includes:
      1. Working on contracts approved and funded by the U.S. under the Foreign Assistance Act;
      2. Working for private employers on U.S. military bases or on any lands used by the U.S. for military purposes outside of the U.S.;
      3. Working for American employers to provide welfare or similar services outside of the U.S. for the benefit of the Armed Forces; or
      4. Working on public works contracts with any U.S. government agency.

Coverage is required for all employees regardless of nationality:
      • U.S. citizens and residents
      • Host country nationals (local hires)
      • Third country nationals (those hired from another country to work in the host country)

Both prime contractors and subcontractors must obtain DBA insurance (primes do not cover subs).  Our insurance carrier also offers coverage to protect Prime Contractors if Subcontractors don't get or keep the proper DBA insurance.

The procedure for filing claims or reporting injuries is very important and must be done correctly within the required time frame.

Customers include both prime and subcontractors providing aviation and related support work, communications and telecommunications, construction, financial services, network and information technology, supply chains and logistics, training and education, including but not limited to:
