National Association of Federal Veterinarians (NAFV) endorses FEDS

FEDS is proud to announce that it is endorsed and the preferred provider of liability benefits to the National Association of Federal Veterinarians (NAFV). NAFV has served federally employed veterinarians for more than 80 years. Formed in 1918 during a meeting of the American Veterinary Medical Association in Boston by a small group of veterinarians with USDA's Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), it has grown to almost 1,300 active members. As an association of supervisors and managers, the NAFV has an official consultative relationship with both the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. It is recognized as the representative organization for veterinarians employed by the federal government.

NAFV is exclusively endorsing the FEDS professional liability program. After careful consideration of the liability protection and benefits offered by FEDS, NAFV is recommending this liability protection to its members. This recommendation is based upon the coverage offered by membership in FEDS (see below for more information on the actual benefits), and the quality of both claims processing and legal defense provided under its plan. Further, both FEDS and its claims administrator have a demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the federal community, and specifically the professional federal veterinary community.
